Pancake & Waffle Preparation

 

You Will Need:

  • 3/4 cup Petley Grain All Purpose Flour
  • 1/2 cup cold water
  • 1/4- 1/2 cup Milk, Buttermilk, or other alternative.
  • 1 tbsp Oil (Vegetable, Canola, Coconut or Melted Butter/Vegan Butter)
  • 1 egg
  • Mixing Bowl
  • Whisk or Electric Mixer
  • Griddle or Waffle Iron

Pancake Instructions:

  1. Combine: Combine all ingredients to a mixing bowl.
  2. Mix: Whisk or use an electric mixer on low speed until just combined.
  3. Preheat Griddle: Preheat a lightly oiled griddle or frying pan over medium heat.
  4. Cook Pancakes: Pour approximately 1/4 cup of batter onto the hot griddle.
  5. Flip: Cook for 2-3 minutes per side, or until golden brown and cooked through.
  6. Serve: Serve immediately with your desired toppings.

Waffle Instructions:

  1. Combine: Combine all ingredients to a mixing bowl.
  2. Mix: Whisk or use an electric mixer on low speed until just combined.
  3. Rest: Let the batter rest for 5-10 minutes.
  4. Preheat Waffle Iron: Preheat your waffle iron according to the manufacturer's instructions.
  5. Cook Waffles: Pour the batter onto the hot waffle iron. Cook until golden brown and crisp, according to your waffle iron's instructions.
  6. Serve: Serve immediately with your desired toppings.

Tips for Best Results:

  • For thicker pancakes, use slightly less liquid.
  • For thinner pancakes, use slightly more liquid.
  • Adjust cooking times as needed based on your griddle or waffle iron.
  • For a richer flavor, melted butter can be used in place of oil.
  • Keep warm in a low temperature oven until ready to serve.
